At Twisted Fizz, we are passionate about creating delicious and viral Dirty Soda's. Our journey began in a 10x10 tent, experimenting with different recipes until we found the perfect balance of flavors.
Who we are!
Founded by Vernon, CT native Heather Petrozza, Twisted Fizz and The Local Lemon was created with one simple mission: to bring smiles and great flavors to local communities through fresh, fun, and unforgettable refreshments. What started as Heather’s passion for high-quality, handcrafted treats has quickly grown into a beloved staple at fairs, festivals, and neighborhood events throughout the area.
At Twisted Fizz, we serve an exciting lineup of dirty sodas—creative, crave-worthy flavor combos that put a refreshing twist on your favorite classics.
Along with The Local Lemon, every drink begins with fresh-squeezed lemonade, made to order for the brightest, boldest flavor.
But the sweetness doesn’t stop there. Heather’s menu features hand-crafted snacks, including the crowd-favorite Dubai chocolate strawberry cups (YUM!), along with other fun treats that make every visit feel special.

What is a Dirty Soda?
Dirty soda is a drink consisting of soda "spiked" with cream, flavored syrups or fruit juices. The drink has been described as "alcohol-free mocktails with optional flavor, cream and fruit add-ins".
There are many variations of dirty soda. However, all dirty sodas consist of a base soda - popular choices are Diet Coke and Dr. Pepper, but these can vary by personal preference. Additionally, dirty sodas include some sort of cream like half-and-half or coconut cream. The last ingredient that makes a soda dirty is a flavored syrup like vanilla or strawberry. These syrups add the extra sweetness and flavorful twist that dirty soda is known for. Outside of these three basic ingredients (base soda, cream, and flavored syrup), one can top it with a wedge of lime or a cherry.
Due to the relative isolation of its origins, variations of dirty soda have been limited. However, expansion to the East Coast is expected to introduce more diverse flavors and preferences.
